Story Time: Red Alert!

Sarah, our librarian who conducts Story Time sessions, is fond of musical assistance to help with singing a few songs before starting to read stories. As many of you know already, she often uses a CD player for this purpose. Last week she received the shock of her life (metaphorically speaking) when a toddler was discovered gnawing on the electrical cord of the CD player! This unfortunate incident frightened the daylights out of Sarah and the toddler's mother, and the cord was removed for inspection for damage. Luckily the cord and toddler were unharmed, but this incident serves as a reminder to all parents: please supervise your children at all times. In future, our staff have been instructed not to leave unnecessarily long lengths of cord unfurled while equipment is in use. Perhaps we should also ask parents to feed their toddlers before Story Time ; )?
